Job Description

Digital data serves as a critical input into CGA by NIQ's world-class product suite, which we are on track to roll out into the biggest on-premise markets worldwide. The Digital Data Research team researches websites to access content that informs our services, then utilises proprietary CGA tools to integrate that data into the business, where it is processed to generate market intelligence and insights.

Digital Data Research Support will have the opportunity to research and analyse a range of digital data sources and data collection techniques, securing data to inform and strengthen CGA’s product suite. They will work alongside experienced team members, developing and growing skills whilst contributing to the continuing growth of our international program. They will be trained to use a powerful new toolkit, developing specialist technical skills whilst offering excellent internal customer service to cross-business products and project teams.

Leadership
  • Able to plan work completion and predict near-future activities, after initial planning discussions with the team. Delegates when necessary.
  • Managing workload so deadlines are managed in the correct way and communicating all changes to all stakeholders at all times.
  • Supports Digital Data teamin the training of junior staff members.

Stakeholder Management & Communication
  • Maintains focus on the task at hand, avoids accepting work that is unreasonable to be completed & pushes back rightly, engaging stakeholders clearly as to why the work cannot be completed.
  • Advocates on behalf of the team.
  • Engages stakeholders and collaborative teams and is confident in representing the department alongside a senior member of the team, or in cases of BAU meetings, alone. Works with DDAM to develop & deliver team & stakeholder education materials.
  • Provides effective support and guidance to customers of, and suppliers to, the DDA (Digital Data Acquisition) process.
Service Standards
  • Troubleshoots and logs issues as per defined processes, liaising effectively with the relevant support team to facilitate resolution.
  • Maintains up-to-date documentation related to ways of working & processes.
  • Identifies opportunities for improvements in DDA process and practice and reports them to the DDA manager.
  • Plays a supporting role in projects to assess, develop & pilot new tools and technologies that may facilitate increased DDA data flow into the business.
Knowledge
  • Has adequate knowledge of how to use Microsoft Excel, can use templates to carry out quality checks, can fill in relevant admin sheets, and can use Excel to analyse web scraping outputs.
  • Has a clear understanding of how to operate all aspects of the Internal Web scraping tool, as well as the process surrounding Internal Web scraping.
  • Has a good understanding of how to operate all actions relevant to DDA on the Vortex Platform and is familiar with the User Interface.
  • Absorbs new information when it is presented systematically and applies it effectively as well as documenting these learnings for future training
