A regional healthcare provider in the UK is seeking a lead for their nursing diabetes team. The role involves enhancing patient care through clinical leadership and service development. The ideal candidate will possess advanced diabetes knowledge and experience managing a healthcare team. They will work as part of the established specialist Diabetes Nursing Team at the Trust, focusing on improving quality in diabetes care.
The post holder will lead the nursing diabetes team, with enthusiasm and willingness to develop knowledge and skills, and a shared vision to be involved in service development projects and improve patient care. The post holder will have experience of clinical leadership, a determination to improve quality of patient‑centred care, service delivery and service team projects.
The post holder will work as an integral part of the established specialist Diabetes Nursing Team as the diabetes lead for Calderdale and Huddersfield NHS Trust.
We employ more than 6,500 staff who deliver compassionate care from our two main hospitals, Calderdale Royal Hospital and Huddersfield Royal Infirmary, as well as at community sites, health centres and in patients’ homes. We also have almost 150 volunteers at CHFT.
We provide a range of services including urgent and emergency care; medical; surgical; maternity; gynaecology; critical care; children’s and young people’s services; end of life care and outpatient and diagnostic imaging services. We also provide community health services, including sexual health services in Calderdale from Calderdale Royal and local health centres, including Todmorden Health Centre and Broad Street Plaza.
These services are part of a Foundation Trust, dedicated to modernising and investing in health services to improve quality in line with patient needs and local community priorities.
