Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our Group Data function. This role is instrumental in advancing our cloud infrastructure strategy with a focus on automation scalability and security. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with solution architects and cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless deployment and operation of technology solutions within our AWS environment.

What you’ll be doing :
  • Designing implementing and maintaining robust AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles
  • Developing and managing Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI / CD) pipelines to support agile software delivery
  • Collaborating with architecture and security teams to ensure compliance with governance frameworks and best practices
  • Deploying and managing containerised applications using Docker and ECS leveraging Terraform for infrastructure provisioning
  • Monitoring system performance and reliability using tools such as Datadog CloudWatch and the ELK stack
  • Contributing to solution design risk assessment and project planning activities
  • Promoting continuous improvement and innovation across DevOps practices and tooling
  • Ensuring all development activities adhere to change governance and software development lifecycle (SDLC) standards
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in designing and managing AWS‑based infrastructure
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash
  • Strong experience with Docker ECS and Terraform
  • Familiarity with CI / CD tools (e.g. GitHub Actions Jenkins) and version control using GitHub
  • Experience with Windows Server PowerShell and Linux environments
  • Exposure to data streaming technologies (e.g. Kafka Qlik Replicate) is advantageous
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in agile collaborative environments
