The Opportunity

We're looking for a Development Upholsterer to join our innovative product development team. At Accora, we design and manufacture assistive medical equipment that enhances independence, comfort, and safety for people who need extra support due to age, disability, or injury.

This is a practical, creative role where you'll craft high‑quality upholstery prototypes, collaborate with R&D, and shape products that improve lives.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Designing and developing upholstery for medical equipment, ensuring high comfort, durability, and quality standards
  • Collaborating closely with R&D to prototype, test, and refine new upholstery designs
  • Selecting and working with materials that meet comfort, safety, and regulatory standards
  • Maintaining excellent workmanship and delivering products to specification and on time
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives in both design and manufacturing processes
What You’ll Need
  • Proven experience in upholstery, particularly in development, prototyping, or custom builds
  • Excellent sewing, cutting, padding, and patterning skills, with an exceptional eye for detail and finish
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or design concepts, translating them into functional prototypes
  • Creative problem‑solving skills, with a practical, hands‑on approach to challenges
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities, comfortable working with R&D, engineering, and production teams
  • Organised and self‑motivated, able to manage multiple tasks and prioritise deadlines in a fast‑paced environment
  • Commitment to quality and continuous improvement, with a pride in your craft and a focus on user comfort and safety
