We are looking for Despatch Operator to join a busy team for our client who specialises in the production of outbound and inbound document services, in their Wymondham site.

This facility is a hub of activity, boasting advanced printing, mailing, and warehousing capabilities, essential for the efficient handling of both outbound mail and the intricate processes of inbound mail receipt, capture, validation, and document storage.

As the Despatch Operator, your role will be integral to maintaining the flow of goods and ensuring that every item reaches its destination promptly and securely.

Main Duties:

  • Safely loading and unloading goods, ensuring all items are securely transported to their designated areas.
  • and stacking products with precision in the correct storage locations.
  • Conducting thorough daily checks on equipment and maintaining forklift trucks, upholding the highest safety standards.
  • Collaborating with internal teams and external clients to foster strong relationships and enhance communication channels.

Required skills:

  • A strong focus on meeting service level agreements and driving results.
  • Counterbalance Forklift experience and valid licence.
  • Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage responsibilities within tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in IT, particularly Microsoft Excel, and the capacity to handle physical tasks with care.
  • Desirable skills include being self-motivated, customer-focused, and possessing effective communication skills. A methodical approach, the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team, and a dedication to delivering high standards.

You will be working on a fortnightly rotating shift pattern, please only apply if you are happy to work these shifts permanently:

Week 1 – Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday. Working 7.00am to 7.00pm
Week 2 – Monday and Tuesday. Working 7.00am to 7.00pm (11 hour shifts)
