Job description

Referment is working with a top-tier global hedge fund seeking a high-calibre Desktop Support Engineer for its London office.

This is not a ticket-factory role. You’ll be embedded in a front-office, driven environment, supporting senior investment professionals and executive leadership, where service quality, ownership, and technical competence genuinely matter.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Provide global desktop and end-user support across offices, remote users, and executives
  • Support Windows 10 / 11 and Microsoft 365
  • Administer Active Directory and Exchange Online
  • Support Citrix Cloud / Azure VDI environments
  • Manage HP workstations, thin clients, and Lenovo laptops
  • Support Cisco VoIP phones and conferencing systems (Zoom, Neat, Poly)
  • Support market data applications (e.g. Bloomberg)
  • Troubleshoot basic networking, VPN, and VDI issues
  • Own tickets end-to-end via JIRA
  • Handle onboarding / offboarding, hardware, asset management, and office moves
What We’re Looking For
  • 3–5 years’ desktop support experience within financial services
  • Strong communicator with a service-first mindset
  • Comfortable supporting senior stakeholders in fast-paced environments
  • Solid Windows, M365, AD, VDI, and mobile device support experience
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to keep learningBonus : PowerShell, automation, SCCM, or market knowledge
Working Pattern
  • This role requires you to on site 5 days a week in our clients London office
  • There is shift-based coverage : 06 : 30–16 : 30 or 08 : 00–18 : 00
