Qualifications

  • Experience managing landlord, planning, statutory approvals, and legal compliance.
  • Strong organisational skills – able to manage output for up to 50+ projects annually.

About the role

Are you a commercially minded design leader who can turn retail concepts into reality? Join Signet Jewelers — home of H. Samuel and Ernest Jones — as Store Design Manager and help shape the future of our store estate. You will take full ownership of the store design process from concept to completion across multiple UK & Ireland locations.

Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end store design from feasibility to completion across multiple UK & Ireland locations.
  • Oversee all drawing and design outputs, both in-house and via external drafting partners.
  • Produce and manage feasibility drawings, detailed working drawings, as-builts, specifications, and standard details.
  • Work closely with project managers, marketing, retail, merchandising, technology, and supply chain teams to ensure design alignment.
  • Act as Principal Designer under CDM and BSA legislation.
  • Manage external suppliers, inspectors, and design agencies to ensure quality, value, and compliance.
  • Present and influence design decisions at senior stakeholder and board level.
  • Lead new concept and fixture development to keep Signet at the forefront of jewellery retail design.
  • Balance creativity with cost, commercial performance, and programme delivery.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years CAD experience with 2D/3D drawing capability.
  • Experience managing landlord, planning, statutory approvals, and legal compliance.
  • Knowledge of Building Regulations, CDM 2015, BSA 2022.
  • Strong organisational skills – able to manage output for up to 50+ projects annually.
  • Confident communicator with experience influencing at all levels.
  • Highly self‑motivated with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) is essential.
