Position: Part-Time KS3 Design & Technology Teacher
Hours: Part-time (Monday to Thursday)
Start Date: January 2026
Location: Stotfold, Central Bedfordshire

About the Role

Class Education are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Design & Technology Teacher to join a D&T department and deliver high-quality lessons to students in Key Stage 3. The ideal candidate will inspire a love of designing, making, and problem-solving, helping pupils to develop practical skills and confidence across a range of D&T disciplines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging KS3 D&T lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Teach a variety of disciplines, such as product design, resistant materials, graphics, and/or textiles (depending on experience)
  • Create a safe and supportive learning environment with a strong emphasis on practical work
  • Assess, track, and report on student progress
  • Contribute to departmental planning and the wider school community
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and workshops to ensure health and safety standards
Person Specification
Essential:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
  • Strong subject knowledge across a range of D&T specialisms
  • Ability to deliver engaging and well-structured lessons
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students
