In this role, you will lead the design function, overseeing the development and review of project designs to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with client requirements. You'll guide the design process from initial concept through to approval, supporting the team, strengthening design standards, and driving continuous improvement across the department. This position can be on a hybrid or remote basis, with travel to the office once each month.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced design professional with strong knowledge of roofing, cladding, or façade systems and the ability to lead a design team effectively. You'll be confident reviewing and refining designs, ensuring accuracy and compliance, and driving improvements across the department. Strong communication, organisation, and leadership skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently in a hybrid or remote setup with monthly office visits.

The Role

• Lead and oversee the design process, ensuring quality and compliance.
• Manage programmes, budgets, and sub-contract design resources.

• Guide the design team and coordinate with clients, site teams, and suppliers.
• Monthly office visit and quarterly Design Team meetings in Aylesbury.

The Person

• Great knowledge of roofing and cladding systems, construction techniques, and relevant Building Regulations.
• Proficient in 2D AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong commercial awareness, including material costs and budget management.
• Willing to travel to the office in Aylesbury each month and attend quarterly design team meetings.
