NEW DESIGN ENGINEER IN WHITSTABLE.

A leading manufacturer of a range of complex electronic applications for the military and aerospace industries are searching for a Design Engineer to join their dynamic team based in Whitstable, Kent.

Our client is looking for a proactive Design Engineer to join a growing and forward-thinking design team. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to investigate production and quality issues, identify root cause and implement robust design and tooling solutions that support manufacturability, quality and long-term process stability.

Responsibilities as an Design Engineer in Whitstable.

  • Contribute to the moulding engineering design workload, supporting both production and development activities.
  • Investigate production stops and quality issues, identify root cause and implementing corrective design or tooling changes.
  • Analyse existing moulding processes and tooling to identify and implement improvements.
  • Design, verify and maintain detailed 3D models and engineering drawings for moulded components and tooling using CAD software (Creo or similar).
  • Support material selection activities, including alternatives for obsolete or hard-to-source materials.
  • Interface with internal and external stakeholders throughout the design, investigation and implementation process.

Requirements as an Design Engineer in Whitstable.

  • Degree qualified (BEng or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related scientific discipline.
