Qualifications

• Experience in the petrochemical industry as a Mechanical Draughts-person.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD software, both 2D and 3D.
• Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Produce AutoCad drawings of the company's products.
• Liaise with Project Engineers & Document Controller.
• Adhere to quality policies and report deficiencies.
• Prepare and review engineering drawings and contract documentation.
• Work closely with Project Managers on required drawings and documents.

Job description

Our client are looking for an experienced Draughtsman with AutoCad experience and a wealth of experience in the Petrochem / Oil & Gas sectors probably gained as a Mechanical Draughts-person.

• Piping / Skid Design & Layout
• Pressure Vessel and stack design draughting
• AutoCad 2D & 3D familiarity
• General MS & Windows IT skills

Duties & Responsibilities

Responsibility for production of (mainly) AutoCad drawings of company's products.

Liaison with other Technical Staff such as Project Engineers & Document Controller.

Product Knowledge: Thorough understanding of all the company's product lines and technical design of the company's product lines.

Knowledge of Company's Document Control System and Procedures/Quality System: Responsible for adherence to the company's policy on quality, adherence to company, departmental procedures and work instructions, and report any deficiency detected within the quality system to the immediate supervisor.

Design: Active role with mechanical engineering and drawings for project execution which includes the preparation/review of engineering drawings and associated contract documentation.

Project Management: Required to work closely with Project Managers to produce required drawings & documents.
