Deputy Warehouse Manager

Location: Crawley

Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

An established and respected manufacturing company based in Crawley is seeking a Deputy Warehouse Manager to support the smooth and efficient running of its warehouse operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong warehouse experience who is looking to take the next step into management.

The Role

Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing day-to-day warehouse activities, supporting team performance, and ensuring stock and logistics operations run efficiently. This role is warehouse-focused and does not involve production line work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Warehouse Manager with daily warehouse operations
  • Supervise and motivate warehouse staff
  • Manage goods in, goods out, and stock control processes
  • Ensure health & safety procedures are followed at all times
  • Assist with inventory accuracy and cycle counts
  • Help identify and implement process improvements
  • Cover for the Warehouse Manager when required
About You
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment
  • Some supervisory or team-leading experience preferred
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Proactive and hands-on approach
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

Desirable but not essential: Experience within an FMCG or food production environment. This role is not based on a production line.
