A healthcare facility in the UK is seeking an experienced nurse for the Becket Ward. The role involves leading the nursing team, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring high-quality patient care for those with acute medical issues. Are you passionate about your role as a nurse and have a strong drive to provide excellent patient care? Becket ward may have an opportunity for you. We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative, hardworking nurse with experience in Acute Medicine and frailty to join our dynamic, friendly team. You will assist in providing high quality care to inpatients with acute medical issues and other frailty related conditions, support the ward sister, and mentor junior nurses. You will also provide support and assessment to student nurses, participate in improvements and change on the ward, investigate incidents, and manage a team, including sickness management and HR processes.
We are a very supportive team and can offer a good orientation along with guidance for future development.
Successful candidates are expected to lead the nursing team and deputise for the ward manager. They should have strong communication skills with the multidisciplinary team and ensure safety and quality are maintained for patients, their families and staff. This will be achieved by supporting the team with skill and enthusiasm.
The Becket team works closely to optimise patient care and rehabilitation. The ward offers a bespoke learning programme and strong support for personal development goals, with opportunities for development and external learning.
