Job description

Deputy Nursery Room Leader

Location : Hackney (N16 0EF)

Salary: £28,000 - £37,000 per annum

Vacancy Type : Full Time (they are willing to offer part time working for the right candidate)

Hours : Monday-Friday, 9am-6pm (8am - 1pm if part time)

The Nursery is a small family run nursery that opened in April 2013. It is a privately-run provision. The nursery operates from a wonderful building, which has been renovated to meet the needs of the children attending. It is situated conveniently just off Stoke Newington Church Street in the London Borough of Hackney. In the most recent OFSTED inspection the nursery was rated as OUTSTANDING.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar environment, working in a Baby Room or Toddler Room, perhaps as a Senior Practitioner looking to take your next career step? Or an existing Deputy Room Leader who wants a more varied position, where you can really influence the running of the room.

Skills and Qualifications
  • Level 3 early year's education and childcare qualification or equivalent
  • To provide high standards of childcare and education including monitoring, reviewing and improving practice.
  • To provide a safe, caring environment to enable the emotional, social, and educational development of children, through individual attention and group activities
  • To build and maintain strong partnerships with parents.
  • Good communication and exemplary professionalism
