Qualifications

• Qualification equivalent to NVQ level 3 in childcare.
• Experience managing a nursery room or team is required.
• Management qualification is desirable but not essential.
• Current First Aid certification is necessary.
• Understanding of EYFS and safeguarding procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of the EYFS and oversee planning.
• Promote partnerships with parents/carers.
• Maintain relationships with Local Authority and regulatory bodies.
• Keep updated on childcare policies and practices.
• Assist Manager with nursery accounts and reports.
• Prepare for staff and parent meetings.

Skills

Childcare and education qualification equivalent to NVQ level 3

Managing a room or team within a nursery setting
