Qualifications

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a Deputy or similar leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of the EYFS framework and relevant legislation.
  • Proven experience in managing and developing a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Current DBS check and safeguarding training.

Job description

Banana Moon Day Nurseries is a well-respected childcare provider dedicated to promoting children's growth and development in a nurturing environment. We are currently looking for a passionate and skilled Deputy Nursery Manager to join our team. This role is essential in supporting the Nursery Manager to deliver high‑quality education and care to our children.

As the Deputy Nursery Manager, you will assist in the daily management of the nursery, ensuring that all policies and procedures are followed and that the highest standards of care are maintained. You will lead by example, helping to create a fun, engaging, and safe atmosphere for both children and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Nursery Manager in all aspects of nursery management, including staff supervision and development.
  • Ensure the nursery complies with regulatory standards and statutory requirements.
  • Implement and evaluate educational programs to promote children's learning and development.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and families, ensuring effective communication.
  • Oversee daily operations, including health, safety, and safeguarding practices.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of nursery practices and quality of care.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in early years education, a deep understanding of the EYFS framework, and a passion for working with children.
