A leading healthcare provider in Edinburgh is looking for a Deputy Service Lead in Blood Sciences to supervise Night Shift teams. This role involves managerial oversight and ensuring a high-quality pathology service during the night. Candidates should be HCPC registered and preferably have an MSc, with experience in managing teams and knowledge of clinical biochemistry and hematology. Qualifications

  • HCPC Registered.
  • MSc is desirable.
  • BBTS qualification or substantial experience required.
  • Experience of managing teams needed.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure smooth running of Blood Science departments at night.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary Night Shift Rota.
  • Draw up staff rotas for adequate coverage.
  • Ensure speedy processing of samples.

Education

MSc desirable
BBTS qualification or substantial BT experience
Member of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences
Fellow of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences desirable
