About the Role
  • Support the Home Manager with day‑to‑day operations and leadership
  • Lead, mentor and inspire the team to deliver exceptional child‑centred care

  • Assist with staff development, supervision, coaching and rota oversight
  • Help shape the home’s culture, structure and future direction
  • Take responsibility when the Manager is absent, ensuring high standards are maintained
  • Support with behaviour management, safeguarding and regulatory requirements
  • Encourage independence, empowerment, dignity and positive relationships
  • Play a key role in maintaining a safe, nurturing and inclusive home environment
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a residential children’s home (Senior or Deputy level)
  • NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Children & Young People (Residential Pathway)
  • Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations & safeguarding procedures
  • Experience with rotas, budgets and team supervision
  • Confident, proactive, and passionate about positive outcomes for children
  • A strong role model with a hands‑on leadership style
  • Full UK Driving Licence
