Role: Deputy Manager

Location: HA1 (Northwest London)

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 (including Sleep Ins and depending on experience)

Overview

Our client provides safe, nurturing and high-quality residential environments where children and young people can thrive. They are looking for a Deputy Manager to support the Home Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the children's home, ensuring high standards of care, promoting positive outcomes, and maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. The Deputy Manager plays a key role in leading and supporting the residential team and contributing to the development and wellbeing of the children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in leading, motivating, and supervising a team of residential staff.
  • Ensure a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environments for all children.
  • Oversee daily routines, safeguarding, and welfare of children.
  • Support recruitment, induction, training, and performance management of staff.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with Children's Homes Regulations.
  • Build positive relationships with children, families, and external professionals.
  • Occasionally participate in sleep-in shifts or on-call duties as required.
Essential Requirements
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
  • Experience in a children's residential setting.
  • Supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
  • Excellent communication and team leadership skills.
