Qualifications

  • Experience as a Deputy Manager or Senior Residential Support Worker is essential.
  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence is required.

Deputy Manager – Children's Residential Home

Location: Sunderland
Provision: Children’s Residential Home (Ages 7-17, Mild Learning Difficulties & EBD)
Hours: 48 hours per week (Rolling 6-week rota, includes at least 1 weekend per month)
Salary: £38,400 per annum + Sleep-in payment (£52 per shift)

As Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the home, managing staff rotas, ensuring compliance with Ofsted standards, and creating a safe and supportive environment where children can thrive. You’ll work alongside a highly experienced Registered Manager and a multidisciplinary team dedicated to achieving the best outcomes for young people.

What We’re Looking For
  • Level 3 Diploma in Children & Young People’s Workforce (or equivalent)
  • Experience in a Senior RSW, Deputy or Assistant Manager role in residential childcare
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding & children’s residential care legislation
  • Confidence in supervising teams & ensuring compliance with Ofsted regulations
  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence (Essential)
  • Good IT skills & a willingness to learn new systems
