Deputy Director of Performance, Planning and Insights

We are seeking a Deputy Director of Performance, Planning and Insights at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key leadership role within our Transformation, Improvement and Productivity directorate.

The Deputy Director of Performance, Planning and Insights is a pivotal senior leadership role responsible for driving the Trust's strategic vision through the integration and optimisation of performance management, business planning, improvement, intelligence, and project management functions.

Main duties of the job

As a key member of the Transformation, Improvement and Productivity (TIP) directorate's senior leadership team, you will ensure the organisation operates as a high-performing, learning, and data-led organisation. You will work in close partnership with the Executive Director to embed planning, assurance, and transformation systems that align with the Trust's Better Lives, Together Strategy and respond effectively to the evolving healthcare landscape.

Leading and working with a senior team of functional experts across Business Intelligence, Project Management Office, Improvement & Innovation, Business Support, and Business Development, you will foster a high-performance culture underpinned by the Care Trust Way principles—delivering inclusive, co-produced, person-centred and sustainable approaches.

This role demands both operational excellence and strategic foresight, ensuring the Trust remains agile, accountable, and innovative. Through strong cross‑organisational and system‑level relationships, you will position the Trust to meet current challenges whilst anticipating and shaping future opportunities.

You will be instrumental in embedding a culture of data maturity, continuous learning, and system leadership—ensuring every level of the organisation uses data and insights to deliver compassionate care, drive sustainable change, and improve outcomes for service users, carers and staff.
