Deputy Children's Home Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Deputy Children's Home Manager to join our team in Peterborough. The successful candidate will support the Children's Home Manager in the daily operations and management of the home, ensuring the provision of high-quality care to the children and young people residing in the facility.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the overall management of the children's home in compliance with statutory regulations and organizational policies.
  • Support the development and implementation of care plans tailored to the individual needs of each child.
  • Lead and motivate a team of care staff, ensuring effective performance management and staff development.
  • Oversee the safety and well-being of children, maintaining a nurturing and supportive environment.
  • Participate in on-call duties and respond to emergencies as required.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Must hold Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare and be willing to work towards Level 5.
  • Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a variable shift pattern, including weekends and sleep-ins.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Working Hours
  • 40 hours per week on a 3-week rolling rota.
  • Variable shift pattern: 7am-10pm, 3 shifts a week.
  • £16.50 per hour and £70 per sleep-in.
