Depot Operations Manager
Hamble

We are now looking for an experienced Depot Operations Manager to take full ownership of our Hamble Depot. This is a senior leadership role where you’ll have the opportunity to drive operational excellence, deliver commercial growth, and build a culture of high performance.

Responsibilities
  • Take full responsibility for the leadership and success of the Hamble Depot.
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a skilled workforce, building a high-performing, professional team.
  • Oversee all aspects of operations, compliance, and service delivery, ensuring safety and efficiency at every stage.
  • Manage depot financial performance (P&L), forecasting, and driving commercial growth.
  • Develop strong client relationships, maximising repeat business and new opportunities in partnership with our commercial and sales teams.
  • Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards, embedding a culture of best practice.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, colleagues, and group operations teams, ensuring seamless delivery of both planned and reactive services.

This is a role where your leadership will directly influence not just the success of the depot, but also the wider Adler & Allan group objectives.

About You

We’re looking for a confident, commercially minded leader with a strong operational background. To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

  • 5+ years experience in operations management, ideally within environmental services, industrial, utilities, or related sectors.
  • Proven ability to lead, inspire, and develop teams to achieve operational excellence.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, including experience managing P&L.
  • Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and compliance requirements, with IOSH/NEBOSH qualifications desirable.
  • A Transport Manager CPC would be an advantage.
  • A full UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK are essential.
