Depot Manager – North Wales
Location: Conwy
Hours: 45 hours per week
Salary: £50,832.36 per year (depending on experience)

Are you an experienced leader with a passion for people, operations, and excellent customer service? We’re looking for a Depot Manager to take charge of our North Wales site and lead the team to continued success.

This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a key leadership role where you’ll oversee day-to-day depot operations, manage a dedicated team, and ensure everything runs smoothly all while driving growth, efficiency, and first-class service for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading and managing all depot operations and staff, ensuring everything is safe, compliant, and running efficiently.
  • Taking responsibility for health & safety, food safety, drivers’ hours, vehicle maintenance, and other legal requirements.
  • Delivering excellent customer service and building strong relationships with clients.
  • Managing budgets, KPIs, and costs to ensure controlled and profitable growth.
  • Supporting commercial activity, including developing new products, promotions, and negotiating contracts.
  • Overseeing stock control, cash handling, and payment processes.
  • Using LEAN principles to improve processes, increase efficiency, and reduce waste.
  • Setting goals for your team, recognising good performance, and supporting their growth and development.
  • Resolving escalated customer issues quickly and professionally.
  • Working closely with the wider business to help shape future plans and deliver on strategy.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience managing operations in a logistics, depot, distribution or similar environment.
  • Strong leadership skills — able to motivate, engage, and get the best out of your team.
  • A customer-focused approach and a passion for delivering excellent service.
  • Good understanding of health & safety and relevant legislation.
  • Experience managing budgets and achieving performance targets.
  • Organised, detail-focused and confident handling multiple priorities.
  • Hands-on approach with a positive attitude and flexibility to adapt when needed.
Nice to Have:
  • A driving licence up to Class C.
  • A management qualification.
  • Knowledge of HR processes and best practice.
