  • Knowledge of the Railway infrastructure and rail plant.
  • Proven ability to manage excellent customer relationships.
  • Experience in staff development and motivation.

Job description

As a Depot Manager, you will be responsible for the management of the depot and all services provided; covering plant, labour, lighting and power. You will support the Regional Operations manager and ensure that all services provided are profitable and achieving their budgeted target minimum.

Our ideal candidate will have knowledge of the Railway infrastructure/rail plant and is a holder of a Personal Track Safety Certificate and LU Track Accustomed, along with a full driving licence and IOSH Managing Safely. You will have experience in the management of excellent customer relationships and a manager of people, with proven ability to motivate and develop.

What we’re looking for
  • Experienced manager of resources
  • Knowledge of the Railway Infrastructure/geographic area/rail plant/hire business.
  • Knowledge in mechanical and electrical engineering (preferable)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications, including word, excel and powerpoint
  • Heath/Safety/Environmental Management
  • Knowledge of budgeting/cost control processes
  • City & Guilds / NVQ level 3 in mechanical and/or electrical engineering. (preferable)
  • Business Studies Diploma or equivalent (preferable)
  • IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent (preferable)
  • Holder of PTS Certificate
  • Clean Driving licence
