Job description
Overview

We're hiring a Depot Foreman (also known as Depot Supervisor, Workshop Foreman, or Engineering Manager) to run the Engineering department at our Clients new South East Depot. You'll lead Generator Engineers, Electrical Engineers, Workshop Engineers, and Laborers, making sure operations, safety, and quality standards are always met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, motivate, and manage engineers and laborers
  • Oversee Generator PDI, stock control, and day-to-day depot operations
  • Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety standards
  • Attend site surveys, installations, and breakdowns when needed
  • Maintain and service generators to manufacturer standards
  • Manage stock and inventory in InspHire to ensure equipment is hire-ready
  • Take part in the depot's out-of-hours call-out rota
Skills & Experience
  • Proven leadership in equipment hire, power generation, or engineering management
  • Strong background in plant or diesel engines (generator knowledge preferred)
  • Excellent organisational and team management skills
  • Solid understanding of compliance, safety, and regulatory standards
  • Full UK driving licence (clean for last 5 years)
