Dental Hygienist / Therapist

Edgerton Dental Clinic – Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, HD1

Permanent – Part‑time 1 day a week (Tuesday 09:00 – 17:00)

£35.00 – £37.00 per hour (negotiable based on experience)

Our clinic is a well‑established practice serving Huddersfield and the wider Yorkshire area. We invest in state‑of‑the‑art facilities and ongoing training to ensure patients enjoy a stress‑free experience.

We offer a full range of high‑quality services, including traditional family dentistry, children’s dentistry, dental anxiety support, and cosmetic procedures. The practice is housed in a refurbished Georgian building with excellent transport links and free on‑site car parking.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver preventive and therapeutic dental hygiene care to patients of all ages
• Perform scaling, prophylaxis, and oral health assessments
• Provide oral health education and lifestyle counselling
• Use fully digital radiography (x‑rays and OPG) and carry out related procedures
• Record treatment plans and support clinical decision‑making in collaboration with dentists and other team members
• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date patient records in compliance with GDC and legal requirements
• Support clinical team with access to high‑quality materials and equipment
• Contribute to a positive and professional patient experience

Required Qualifications and Experience

• UK work experience as a dental hygienist (minimum 6 months preferred)
• Registered with the General Dental Council (GDC)
• Full indemnity cover
• Valid hepatitis B immunisation
• Clear DBS check
• Current CPD certificates
• Two professional references
