The Dementia Care Manager role is responsible for the overall management of the Dementia Community, implementing the company's dementia care strategy and managing resources within a given budget.

Main duties of the job

As a Dementia Care Manager, your focus will be on ensuring the delivery of high‑quality, person‑centred care for residents with dementia. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing care plans, building caring relationships with residents and families, and working closely with the Activities Team to provide meaningful activities. You will also promote a culture that enables residents to maximise their capabilities and enhance their quality of life.

We’re now looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join our award‑winning team as a Dementia Care Manager at Edenbridge Manor Care Home in Kent. If this sounds like the place for you, we’d love to hear from you!

Job responsibilities
  • Ensure the plan care day is accurate and reflected in the care needs summary, and that the resident/relative identifies needs and preferences. Ensure all information is integrated into a person‑centred care plan.
  • Build caring relationships with residents and families, liaising with them sensitively and appropriately. Act as an advocate for the residents' best interests, appropriately managing conflict.
  • Work closely with the Activities Team to ensure the development of meaningful activities for residents with Dementia. Support and set expectations for the care team's participation in these activities.
  • Promote a culture that enables residents to maximise their capabilities, optimise their independence and enhance their quality of life.

About you
