Job summary

A trusted delivery service provider is hiring a Postal/Parcel Delivery Driver in Lochgelly, Scotland. This role involves sorting and delivering parcels, requiring a full UK manual driving license and strong customer service skills. The ideal candidate enjoys working independently outdoors and is able to lift and carry packages. The position offers a pay rate of £16.58 per hour, with opportunities for overtime on weekends.

Qualifications

  • Start your shift at the local delivery office to sort and load your deliveries.
  • Deliver letters and parcels by foot and/or vehicle, walking up to 8 miles per day.
  • Lift and carry mail bags (up to 16kg) and parcels (up to 20kg).

Job Opportunity: Postal/Parcel Delivery Driver

Location: LOCHGELLY, FIFE

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Type: Temporary / Contract

Pay Rate: £16.58 per hour

Hours: Up to 40 hours per week

Schedule: Monday to Friday & weekends, between 07:00 - 19:00

Overtime: Available on weekends

About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Start your shift at the local delivery office to sort and load your deliveries.
  • Use a handheld device for signature capture and route navigation.
  • Deliver letters and parcels by foot and/or vehicle – walking up to 8 miles per day.
  • Lift and carry mail bags (up to 16kg) and parcels (up to 20kg).
  • Use delivery trolleys when required.
Requirements
  • Full UK manual driving licence (maximum 6 points; clean licence preferred).
  • Previous delivery or driving experience is beneficial but not essential.
  • Excellent time management and customer service skills.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
