Self-employed Core Delivery Driver

As one of our Self-Employed Core Delivery Drivers you’ll enjoy freedom, flexibility and better financial rewards, plus support from the wider Yodel team. You don’t need any experience, and the more you deliver, the more you earn.

• Typically, our Delivery Drivers can earn anything between £18 - £20 per hour (paid per parcel).
• We deliver promises as well as parcels and are raising our game with competitive rates, taking business mileage and operational costs into consideration.

Daily & Weekly Payment Options

• Flexible payment options are available to Self-Employed delivery drivers via an app provided by Onsi for early access payments.
• Alternatively, drivers can join a weekly payment cycle scheme, which starts after 4 weeks of completed delivery services.

Both payment options allow you to receive more regular payments for the delivery services you have provided.

We have plenty of parcels to deliver

• Parcels weigh up to 15 kg and vary in size.
• You can realistically deliver and collect between 16-25 parcels per hour depending on area and experience, 6 days a week.

We\'ll give you freedom and flexibility

• You can plan your own route or use our app with built-in optimization to plan routes and liaise with customers.

We\'ll offer regular work in the same area, 6 days a week

• We deliver parcels for major retailers, with local routes and ongoing work.

We\'ll develop and support you

• You have the independence of being self-employed, plus backing from a Yodel representative to answer questions.

The Life of a Core Delivery Driver

Each day is what you make it. You can plan your own route, and at each delivery you can use your mobile to scan parcels and ensure they are safely received by the customer. We arrange daily parcel collection or, for rural areas, delivery to you.
