About the Naval Ships Combat Systems Team

As part of our UK Maritime Sector, Naval Ships designs, builds and delivers complex warships and combat systems, and you could play a vital role in its future.

We are designing and building the Royal Navy's new Type 26 Global Combat Ship. A highly capable and versatile multi‑mission warship designed to support anti‑submarine warfare, air defence and other operations anywhere on the world's oceans.

Export Control/Security

Qualification requirements
  • 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade 9-4/A*-C which must include Maths & English & a Science/Technical Subject AND 1 of the following:
    • 3 A-levels (or equivalent) at grade C or above. 1 subject must be Maths and 1 subject must be in Engineering or a Science/Technical subject
    • OR
    • An equivalent level 3 vocational qualification (must be a STEM related subject that aligns to the scheme/area you are applying for and worth a minimum of 96 UCAS points)
