Job Description
Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Deal Execution Manager to join our dynamic real estate team. Reporting to the SVP Finance, the Manager will play a pivotal role in managing end-to-end execution of real estate transactions across Brookfield’s European real‑estate portfolio. This includes leading transaction workstreams, overseeing financial due diligence (FDD), managing completion mechanics and funds flows, and ensuring seamless coordination between internal teams and external advisors. The role also supports treasury operations related to deal funding and FX management, and provides critical assistance to capital markets teams in preparing offering memorandums and prospectuses for public bond issuances at portfolio companies. It’s a highly cross‑functional position requiring strong technical, financial, and project management skills.

Responsibilities include:
Transaction Execution:
  • Help coordinate the execution of real estate acquisitions, recapitalisations, refinancings and disposals
  • Drive the FDD (or ODD) process, liaising with external advisors and internal stakeholders.
  • Review and challenge VDD / FDD findings including working capital assessments, and net debt calculations.
  • Identify key financial deal issues and communicate findings to the investment team
  • Oversee the review of completion accounts, accounting policies and SPA mechanics.
Financial lead for ad‑hoc projects:
  • Review and interpret offering memorandums and prospectuses to assess and document the appropriate IFRS accounting treatment for bond issuances. Consulting with internal technical team where necessary
  • Collaborate with legal, tax, and capital markets teams to ensure alignment between commercial terms and financial reporting implications.
  • Support audit / comfort process with auditors
Treasury & Funds Flow:
  • Collaborate with the Brookfield New York treasury team to ensure efficient cash management and funding of transactions.
  • Monitor and manage escrow arrangements, FX considerations, and intercompany funding structures.
Stakeholder Management:
  • Act as the central point of contact between internal teams (legal, finance, portfolio management and investment teams) and external advisors (lawyers, accountants, consultants).
  • Work closely with Technical Transactions Director and wider Brookfield finance teams to provide guidance of DD findings, and ensure future reporting deliverables are considered in transaction documents.
Key Competencies:
  • ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent), ideally trained in a Big 4 Transaction Services team or through practical transaction based experience
  • 3‑4+ years of experience in deal execution, with a strong understanding of FDD, completion steps, and funds flow mechanics.
  • Working knowledge of treasury operations, including cash flow forecasting and FX management.
  • Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills.
Key Requirements
  • Experience working with private fund structures preferred
  • Real Estate or other tangible asset sector experience preferred, ideally cross borders
  • Achieved 2.1 in any degree discipline
  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) or equivalent with 3‑4 years PQE
  • Strong Excel skills and proficient in PowerPoint
