Job description

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Camden to assist with the appointment of a Day/Night Support Coordinator, on a 2.5-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £16.43- £21.48 per hour

Summary

The Day/Night Support Co-ordinator will play a key role in supporting adults with disabilities in Camden's supported living accommodation services. The postholder will ensure high-quality care and support is delivered in line with personalised care plans, while coordinating staff on shift to maintain safe, effective, and person-centred practice. They will provide hands-on care, emotional support, and guidance to both customers and colleagues, ensuring services run smoothly during both day and night operations.

Responsibilities
  • Safeguard vulnerable adults, following safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Encourage and support service users to participate in social, leisure, and community-based activities.
  • Ensure accurate records, incident reports, and handovers are completed.
  • Escalate significant concerns to managers and contribute to service improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with organisational policies, health and safety requirements, infection control measures, and CQC standards.
Essentials
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Training in manual handling, medication administration, food hygiene, infection control, and safeguarding adults.
  • Awareness of epilepsy, autism, and other long-term conditions
  • Experience of working in a social care or supported living environment
  • Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities and/or physical disabilities.
