About the Role:

Focused Futures are seeking a high experienced Senior Data Solutions Architect to lead major data platform transformation initiatives for a top-tier consultancy working within the banking and Insurance sector. This role combines deep technical expertise with strategic client engagement, with a strong emphasis on modernising enterprise data architectures, leading cloud migrations, and advising senior stakeholders on data and analytics strategy.

To be considered, applicants must have a strong proven track record working within this type of role for a leading Microsoft, AWS, or GCP consultancy — ideally one that is award-winning or highly regarded in the industry. This is not a pure engineering role — we are looking for someone who has operated in a blended role across Solution Architecture, Pre-Sales, and Delivery Leadership, bringing both technical depth and client-facing credibility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale data platforms using cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, GCP) and tools like Databricks, Snowflake, Synapse.
• Shape cloud migration and modernization strategies with a strong focus on DevOps practices.
• Architect scalable data models and robust ETL/ELT pipelines using industry-standard frameworks.
• Implement data governance and quality frameworks to ensure data integrity and compliance.
• Collaborate with clients’ senior leadership to influence data-driven transformation initiatives.
• Support pre-sales activities by translating client needs into compelling solution designs and proposals.
• Mentor cross-functional teams and foster innovation in data solutions.

Candidate Profile:

• 10+ years’ experience in BI/Data Warehousing and analytics, with 4+ years in solution architecture.
• Extensive experience operating as a Data Solution Architect, Delivery Lead and Pre-sales hybrid style role for a consultancy
• Proven insurance or banking domain expertise (commercial, investment, retail banking, or regulatory reporting).
• Strong background in enterprise data modelling (ERwin, ER/Studio, PowerDesigner).
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms and DevOps tools (Terraform, Azure DevOps, GitHub).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and client advisory skills.
