Position
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, refine, and maintain predictive and ML models using AWS SageMaker.
  • Explore large datasets and engineer features that drive insight and accuracy.
  • Run experiments and fine-tune models to maximise predictive value.
  • Monitor performance and establish processes for recalibration.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers, BI Developers, and Analysts.
  • Engage with stakeholders to address real-world challenges.
  • Document processes and support knowledge-sharing across institutions.
  • Contribute to the expansion of predictive analytics into new areas.
Requirements
About You

You're an analytical thinker with a passion for turning data into action. With strong technical expertise and the ability to communicate insights clearly, you thrive at the intersection of data, business, and education.

Essential:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in data science roles.
  • Expertise in Python, SQL, and ML libraries (scikit-learn, XGBoost, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
  • Hands-on experience with AWS ML stack (SageMaker, Lambda, Redshift).
  • Strong applied ML, predictive analytics, and modelling skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Desirable:

  • Master's degree or AWS certifications.
  • Experience in higher education or multi-system environments.
  • Exposure to big data platforms or advanced ML frameworks.
