Overview

British University Vietnam (BUV) invites experienced candidates with international qualifications to apply for academic and teaching positions in the School of Computing and Innovative Technologies, specialised in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence.

Position Titles

• Lecturer – Instructors with academic experience (PhD required)
• Senior Lecturer – Instructors with academic and research experience (PhD required)

Position Requirements

• Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence or a closely related field.
• University‑level teaching experience in English, including curriculum development and assessment.
• Expertise in data analysis, machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, big data, quantitative analysis and data visualisation.
• Proficiency in relevant programming languages and AI technologies.
• Strong foundations in theoretical concepts coupled with practical skills for implementing and mentoring students using cutting‑edge tools.
• Evidence of teaching excellence – positive impact beyond personal teaching, high‑quality publications, and willingness to pursue a higher education teaching qualification.
• Clean police record and acceptable CRB or equivalent checks for work permit purposes.
• Desirable: Mathematical, statistical and quantitative analysis skills; industry experience; experience living/working in Vietnam or Asia.

Position Specification

• Develop and deliver teaching programmes at academic levels B & C.
• Advance knowledge in the discipline and contribute to course design at a programme level.
• Engage students using modern delivery techniques and innovative teaching methods.
