Description

The Data Protection Solicitor will be:

  • Advising clients on data protection, privacy, cyber and AI-related legal risks across multiple sectors (FS, health, real estate, tech)
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating data protection, privacy and cybersecurity-related contracts and policies
  • Conducting privacy impact assessments, compliance audits and advising on regulatory obligations
  • Supporting clients with incident response, breach management and regulatory investigations where required
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver practical, business-minded legal advice
Profile

The Data Protection Solicitor should be:

  • A solicitor (or equivalent) with experience in data protection, privacy or cyber law - ideally 2+ years post-qualification (PQE) or demonstrable relevant experience
  • Skilled in drafting privacy policies, data-sharing agreements, and compliance documentation
  • Familiar with UK/EU data protection law (e., GDPR), regulatory requirements and emerging issues around AI and cyber-security
  • Able to liaise directly with clients and deliver clear, pragmatic legal advice
  • A strong communicator, organised, commercially aware, and comfortable working across different sectors and teams
