Job description

A leading media company is looking for an Interim Data Privacy Specialist to join in January for a three-month assignment. Candidates must be available to start at the beginning of January 2026.

Hybrid working, London

The role:
  • Managing and delivering DPIAs, TIAs, LIAs and wider privacy risk assessments
  • Supporting BAU privacy operations, including data breach management and privacy queries
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating data protection clauses and data processing agreements
  • Maintaining and updating RoPA, data maps and privacy documentation (ideally using OneTrust)
  • Reviewing vendor questionnaires and supporting third-party due diligence
  • Contributing to privacy projects and embedding data protection controls across the business
  • 5+ years’ in-house experience as a Data Privacy Specialist / Advisor
  • Strong understanding of UK GDPR, data protection law and cross-border data transfer requirements
  • Hands‑on experience with DPIAs, TIAs, privacy notices, DSARs and data mapping
  • Familiar with privacy technology and platforms (e.g., OneTrust)
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and able to deliver at pace in a fast‑moving environment
  • A legal background or relevant qualifications (e.g., ISEB/BCS, IAPP) are desirable but not essential
