Job summary

A leading tech consultancy is looking for a GCP Data Architect to help clients migrate their data warehouse to GCP. The role requires expertise in GCP and BigQuery, along with strong communication and negotiation skills. Ideal candidates will also have experience with technologies like Hadoop and Hive. This position is remote, with the option to visit the London office occasionally.

Overview

A GCP Data Architect is required to join a Google partner who are helping various private sector clients migrate from an on-prem data warehouse to GCP. The GCP Data Architect is required to design data architecture patterns, evaluate different approaches and technologies, and communicate with various design working groups and architecture forums.

Responsibilities

• Design data architecture patterns, evaluate different approaches and technologies, and communicate with design working groups and architecture forums.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with GCP and BigQuery essential (at least 2 years experience - relevant certifications a bonus)
• Good communication, stakeholder management and negotiation skills (consultative approach)
• Experience with other technologies such as Hadoop, Hbase, Hive, DataProc, DataFlow and/or GKE would be useful
