We are looking for a Data and Systems Engineer to assist with maintaining reliability and improving performance, supporting operational activities across all our Motorsport Programmes, with key focus on Rally Raid programmes, and the development of new data and software systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage electronic system specification and software updates for all Prodrive Motorsport products.
  • Data analysis and system‑wide commissioning of rally cars both on event, remote and factory based testing.
  • Work closely with Software, Electrical and Customer Support teams, aiming at supporting both Factory and Customer teams with their electrical and electronics needs.
  • Work with championship organisers to forecast electrical and electronic changes required to maintain Prodrive Motorsport’s products adherence to regulations at all times.
  • Develop Prodrive motorsport products across all programs and will be expected to proactively assist with all aspects of in‑vehicle and supporting (i.e. garage and factory) electronic systems.
  • Work closely with workshop production to ensure build spec is adhered to and maintain BOM for electronic components, new vehicle signoff and compliance to championship regulations.
  • This position is factory based in Banbury, Oxfordshire, UK
Who Are We Looking For?
  • You will be competent in IT support and development (General MS Windows support including networking, plus MS Office suite including Excel+VBA. Programming such as Matlab, Simulink, Python, C appreciated)
  • A strong understanding of wiring looms at a system level and ability to troubleshoot existing looms;
  • A strong understanding various communication protocols such as CAN, LIN & Ethernet, and ability to troubleshoot existing buses and networks;
  • Experience in motorsport or automotive control units, data loggers and related software (Bosch Motorsport ecosystem is an advantage);
  • A good understanding of individual vehicle systems such as engine, transmission, HVAC, electrical distribution, etc;
  • You will have efficient spoken and written communication skills
  • An innate ability to operate both independently and in a collaborative, team environment;
  • Possess excellent organisation, prioritisation, and coordination skills;
  • An ability to work effectively and thrive in a fast‑paced environment;
  • Ability and experience in working under pressure.
