CFA Institute is seeking a seasoned Cybersecurity Architect to design, implement, and optimize secure, scalable enterprise architectures that protect our global environment. You’ll translate complex security requirements into practical solutions, partner across engineering, risk, compliance, and the business, and shape the organization’s security posture with clear standards and roadmaps. Set the blueprint: Develop and communicate enterprise security architecture principles, standards, reference architectures, and roadmaps aligned to business strategy.
Advise and influence: Serve as a trusted SME on complex projects and new tech deployments; guide secure design decisions and risk trade-offs.
Select and integrate controls: Evaluate and recommend security technologies, tools, and services; ensure seamless integration with platforms and processes.
Assess & harden: Conduct advanced security assessments of systems, applications, and networks; identify vulnerabilities and drive pragmatic remediation.
Build security-by-design: Partner with engineering, operations, and compliance to embed security patterns and policies in enterprise solutions.
Scan the horizon: Track evolving threats, regulatory shifts, and emerging technologies; brief leadership with forward-looking recommendations.
Support incident response: Provide architectural expertise during major security incidents to enable effective containment and remediation.
Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
10+ years in information security with 5+ years focused on security architecture or advanced engineering.
Proven experience designing secure enterprise environments across hybrid cloud, on-prem, and SaaS.
Deep knowledge of frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, SABSA, TOGAF.
Advanced understanding of IAM, network/infrastructure security, application security, encryption, and secure DevOps.
Hands-on familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization, and zero-trust architectures.
Proficiency in risk and threat modeling and security design methodologies.
Strong working knowledge of regulatory/compliance regimes (GDPR, SOX, PCI DSS, HIPAA).
Exceptional communication skills to influence technical and non-technical audiences.
Advanced degree or equivalent senior-level experience.
Architecture/security certifications (CISSP, CCSP, SABSA) and relevant vendor certs (AWS Security, Azure Solutions Architect, etc.).
Success operating in complex, global organizations and shaping cross-functional policies and decisions.

Expected salary range: $120,000 - $140,000
Other benefits include eligibility for annual incentives, 12% retirement employer contribution, and competitive medical benefits. All salary ranges are subject to adjustment based on experience, education, and other factors relevant to the position.
