A local support organization is seeking a compassionate Personal Assistant to work with a 12-year-old boy with autism. The position involves flexible support during weekdays and additional hours in school holidays. Personal Assistant to support a 12‑year‑old boy who enjoys gaming, jewellery and building Lego, and who has autism, ADHD and sensory processing disorder. The role is more than 8 hours per week, with an additional 10 hours during school holidays, in the HU7 area of Hull. The role is flexible: days and hours can be discussed upon application.
The successful candidate will be kind, compassionate, and committed to working with a child who often asks many questions and who has complex needs. Strong understanding of autism, challenging behaviour and sensory processing disorders is essential. The family has a genuine occupational requirement for a male worker. A driver with access to a vehicle is preferred; mileage costs will be met by the employer.

The position is subject to a satisfactory checking report from the Disclosure and Barring Service; the cost is paid by the local authority/employer.
