Job Description
  • Lead a small team of specialists, ensuring all activities associated with goods under bond status or IP special procedures are processed meeting HMRC requirements and approval
  • Ensure the accuracy and timely reporting of all HMRC's required submissions and declarations, inclusive of the retention of all documentation and declarations that will serve to comply with HMRC audit processes
  • Develop your own and team knowledge and understanding of HMRC requirements, through effective communications, and, where applicable, maintaining and revising Standard Operations Procedures and other continuous improvement processes
  • Liaise with other site functions, providing expertise and support in all areas of Customs & Excise requirements
  • Represent GXO in a customer-facing role to provide support, guidance, information and effective communication

Excellent working knowledge of HMRC legislation applicable to Customs & Excise warehousing along with experience of working in a duty suspended and duty paid environment.

  • Expert user level knowledge of Duty Management systems, including CDS, and a clear understanding of Inward Processing (IP) special procedures, processes and reporting

This is a permanent, full-time position working Monday - Friday between the hours of 09:00 - 17:00, however we would expect a degree of flexibility.
