About the opportunity

McDougall Energy is seeking a motivated, results‑driven individual to join our team as a Customer Service Representative at our Nairn Centre Jeremy’s Truck Stop & Country Restaurant and Esso Retail & Cardlock Fueling Station located in Nairn Centre, ON.

Reporting to the Site Manager, this position is responsible for:

• Providing prompt, efficient and courteous customer service to all customers.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, customer friendly work environment.
• Ensuring all exterior store conditions are maintained to enhance the properties curb appeal.
• Ensuring accurate operation of cashier systems.
• Ensuring all paperwork submitted is accurate and balanced.
• Adhering to all company policies and procedures as prescribed.
• Enforcing age verification for the sales of tobacco, alcohol and lottery products.

About you

The ideal candidate will have:

• High school diploma or working towards completion.
• Friendly, enthusiastic and customer service focused.
• Takes pride in their work.
• Superior customer service skills with a desire to be part of a performance‑driven team.
• Previous experience in customer service/retail preferred.
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and coworkers.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to work night shifts and weekends and holidays.

The successful candidate will be required to successfully pass the Retail Smart Serve course if not already certified.
