Customer Service & Logistics Coordinator
Overview
A rapidly expanding FMCG business based in the Prescot area are looking for a Logistics & Customer Service Coordinator to join their team. As Logistics & Customer Service Coordinator you will support day to day supply chain and customer operations. You will manage order processing, logistics coordination and customer communication; ensuring performance is tracked and issues are resolved efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and process customer orders across all channels, ensuring accuracy and on-time fulfilment.
- Respond to customer enquiries and complaints, recording correspondence, arranging replacements, and resolving delivery issues with carriers and hauliers.
- Collaborate with 3PL warehouse partners to track stock, update shipping information, resolve address discrepancies, and prepare commercial invoices when required.
- Maintain accurate customer records in Business Central, including pricing updates and product information.
- Communicate with international customers regarding orders, payments, invoicing, and shipping documentation.
- Investigate and resolve issues related to deliveries, debit notes, fines, or damages, escalating disputes where appropriate.
- Monitor and report supply chain KPIs, including OTIF performance, shortages, damages, and delivery failures.
- Prepare monthly sales and performance reports for B2B and D2C channels.
What You’ll Bring
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a varied workload and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with customers, logistics partners, and internal teams.
- Proactive problem-solving skills, with experience handling delivery and service issues.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in order processing, customer data management, and shipping documentation.
- Solid IT proficiency, including ERP/CRM systems, plus strong Excel, Word, and Outlook skills.
- Background in supply chain, logistics, or customer service, ideally within manufacturing or FMCG.
- Understanding of international shipping processes, 3PL operations, and retail platforms such as Amazon Vendor (advantageous).
- Strong numerical ability, with experience producing KPI and performance reports.
