WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

We are looking for co-workers who strive to give an amazing customer shopping experience; co-workers that always put the customer at the heart of everything they do and inspire others to do the same.

The ideal candidate will have experience - paid, voluntary or at school - of working in a team environment. You will be passionate about learning, and enthusiastic about offering a superb customer experience for our customers. Retail or customer-facing experience is desirable.

This is a fast-paced role, and so you should have demonstrated experience and a willingness to work in a role where you may be serving many customers - especially at the weekends in-store!

Ideally, you will have visited IKEA at the weekend to get an idea of the nature of the role and how busy the store can be.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

This role is varied with no two days being the same; one minute you could be on check-outs, and the next minute, you could be assisting customers and providing great customer service in our After Sales / Returns area.

• You aim to create a positive experience for our customers so that they will want to return and shop with us again over time.
• You work together with colleagues in other functions to improve the customer experience.
• Meeting and greeting our customers, assisting customers at the check-outs and returns desk.
• Supporting customers to pay at tills, including scanning items, taking payment, and providing support and guidance at our self-serve scanning area.
• Build loyalty by listening to our customers and using your knowledge of the IKEA product range to offer informed solutions.

WE CARE FOR THE PEOPLE

It takes the diversity of thought, background, and culture to make great ideas a reality. We welcome candidates from all walks of life to join us, where we feel valued for our uniqueness and recognised for our diverse talents. We are an equal opportunities employer.
