Customer Operations Assistant – £26,000 gross per annum
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily warehouse operations: receiving, inspection, storage, picking and dispatch of high‑end garments and accessories.
- Maintain accurate stock records; perform regular cycle counts and assist with full stocktakes.
- Prepare and check shipping documentation, labels and quality checks to brand standards.
- Liaise with suppliers, carriers and brand representatives to resolve discrepancies and schedule deliveries/collections.
- Provide first‑line customer care: respond to client enquiries (phone/email), update order/status information and escalated issues to senior management when needed.
- Log and manage returns, repairs and quality claims according to client agreements.
- Ensure compliance with brand‑specific handling protocols and H&S / COSHH requirements.
- Use warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic office software to update records and produce reports.
- Support process improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in warehouse coordination, inventory control or customer service experience with apparel logistics is highly desirable.
- Strong organisational skills, excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
- Confident communicator with professional client‑facing skills.
- Proficient with WMS or other inventory systems and MS Office (Excel).
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment, problem‑solve and remain calm under pressure.
- Team player with a positive attitude and flexible approach.
