A leading grocery store chain is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver in Solihull. You will be responsible for delivering groceries to customers, ensuring excellent service, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness. The role offers flexibility with guaranteed hours and supports diverse working conditions. Applicants must have a valid driving licence and be customer-focused.
Days and times when we would like you to be available to work: Sun 09:00:00–21:00:00; Fri 10:00:00–21:00:00; Sat 09:00:00–21:00:00. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times and you will have 3 weeks' notice of your shifts. We are happy to support flexibility for colleagues, so if your available times closely match but are not exactly the advertised times, we’d still love to hear from you. Read more inside our policy.
Our Customer Delivery Driver rate of pay starts from £13.35 an hour; this increases to £14.56 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
It’s our policy to offer new colleagues joining us a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you’d like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12) we have opportunities for this too and would still love to hear from you.
As the face of Tesco out on the road, we deliver all the way from Lands’ End to John O’Groats. Our Customer Delivery Drivers meet and talk to customers in their homes every day. This role is about more than driving: it’s about helping others and delivering great service with a smile.
It’s hands on, physical and full of variety. No two shifts are the same and customers look for help in many ways. Most of the day you’ll feel like your own boss delivering to customers, but there is always a team of Managers and colleagues back at base to support you when you need them.
