Pay & Hours

Our Customer Delivery Driver rate of pay starts from £13.35 an hour; this increases to £14.56 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.

We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week. If you’d like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12), we have opportunities for this too.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver your part of the customer shopping trip by ensuring the van and trays are clean, tidy and organised.
  • Leave the back yard clean, tidy and clear of rubbish, picking up litter as you see it.
  • Ensure trays are washed as part of the tray wash process.
  • Load the van as required, checking the van for roadworthiness.
  • Talk to the customer about any changes to their order, including short‑code items and substitutions, and offer a refund for anything they are unhappy with.
  • Take care of products/deliveries as if they were your own.
  • Explain to the customer that they will not be charged any more for their substitutions.
  • Deliver during the customer’s time slot.
  • Call the customer before arriving at their property if arriving early.
  • Call the store/centre if running 30 minutes or more late.
Qualifications
  • Build relationships with colleagues to create team spirit, working together to ensure the store is the best it can be for customers.
  • Warm and welcoming in interactions with customers and colleagues, taking time to understand the customer and say "Thank you."
  • Act quickly to respond to the changing needs of our customers and embrace change within the store.
  • Energetic and driven to deliver beyond expectations, integrating home and work to achieve a balance that is right for you.
  • Share ideas with your Manager and other colleagues on how you can improve the store for customers.
  • Hold a valid UK / EU / EEA driving licence (full or automatic only) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
