Customer Account Manager

Job Location: Poole, Dorset

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: Up to £30,000 per annum, depending on experience

Hours: 37.5 hrs per week – Monday to Thursday 7:30am – 4:00pm with a 1pm finish on Friday

About the Company

We are looking to recruit for an experienced Customer Account Manager to join a thriving manufacturing company in Poole. Working in a friendly team of 3, you will look after around 20 long‑standing customers and their ongoing/new projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Provide quotations.
  • Load sales orders onto the system.
  • Communicate with manufacturing, purchasing and other departments to establish updates and timelines.
  • Respond to customer enquiries regarding stock, progress and pricing.
  • Attend tradeshows, represent the company, and liaise with other businesses / potential customers.
  • General office administration, including updating internal databases.
Key Focus

The main focus of this role is building and maintaining relationships with your assigned customers, keeping them up to date with their projects and accurately processing orders.

Ideal Candidate
  • Previous experience within a customer service / account manager role.
  • Experience looking after your own customer accounts.
  • A cheerful and friendly disposition.
  • The ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A proactive approach.
  • Good IT skills, experience with Microsoft programmes including Excel, Word and Outlook.
